Welcome to the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) at Devaki Amma Memorial College of Pharmacy! Our mission is to foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among students and faculty. The IEDC serves as a dynamic platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to nurture their business ideas and turn them into successful ventures. Through various activities and initiatives, we strive to equip our members with the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to thrive in the ever-evolving world of entrepreneurship.

Inauguration of IEDC

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) was inaugurated on August 11th, 2023, by Dr. Boby Chemmanur,
a visionary philanthropist and entrepreneur. Dr. Chemmanur’s inspiring journey in business and dedication to societal welfare set a perfect example for our members, and his presence marked a significant beginning for our EDC. His insights and guidance continue to inspire us as we embark on our entrepreneurial journey.

Our Vision and Objectives

The primary objective of the IEDC is to promote entrepreneurship and cultivate
an entrepreneurial mindset among the students and faculty of Devaki Amma Memorial College of Pharmacy. We aim to:

Encourage Entrepreneurial Potential: Inspire students and faculty to explore and harness their entrepreneurial capabilities.
Support Innovative Business Ideas: Provide guidance and resources for the development and execution of innovative business concepts.
Facilitate Networking: Create opportunities for interaction with experienced entrepreneurs, industry experts, and investors.

Our Activities

The IEDC conducts a variety of activities designed to empower
students and faculty to take on the challenges of entrepreneurship. Some of our key activities include:

Entrepreneurship Workshops and Seminars: We organize sessions led by successful entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and experts to provide valuable insights into the world of business and innovation.
Business Plan Competitions: Our competitions allow students to showcase their business ideas and receive constructive feedback from experienced mentors.
Guest Lectures: We host accomplished entrepreneurs who share their real-life experiences, challenges, and successes, inspiring and motivating aspiring entrepreneurs.

Incubation Support: We provide promising startups with access to co-working spaces, mentorship, and networking opportunities to accelerate their growth.
Skill Development Programs: Our programs cover various aspects of entrepreneurship, including leadership, marketing, finance, and communication.
Industry Visits:We arrange visits to industries and startups, offering practical insights into the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
