DAMCOP - Leo Club

We are excited to announce the establishment of two remarkable Leo Clubs within our college community – the Leo Club of Devaki Amma Memorial College of Pharmacy Delta & Sigma. These clubs, comprising 100 enthusiastic members each, are a testament to our commitment to fostering leadership, service, and community engagement among our students.
Under the patronage of Lions Club International, the Leo Club of Devaki Amma Memorial College of Pharmacy Delta & Sigma aims to create a platform for our students to channel their energy and passion towards meaningful social service activities. We are proud to have the esteemed Lions Club of Chelembra and Lions Club of Calicut University as the guiding lights behind the inception of these Leo Clubs.
As a part of Leo District 318 D, our Leo Clubs are aligned with a rich tradition of service and excellence. Through collaborative initiatives and impactful projects, we aspire to make a positive difference in the lives of those around us. These Leo Clubs provide a unique opportunity for students to develop leadership skills, engage in community service, and build lifelong connections.
Join us in celebrating the spirit of compassion, leadership, and service embodied by the Leo Club of Devaki Amma Memorial College of Pharmacy Delta Sigma. Stay tuned for updates on our upcoming projects, events, and community outreach endeavors. Together, we can create a brighter future for our college, our community, and beyond.
Let’s shine as leaders and change-makers through the Leo Clubs of Devaki Amma Memorial College of Pharmacy!
Here’s a glimpse into the kind of projects our Leo Clubs are involved in:

Community Health Camps: Our Leo Clubs organize health camps to provide basic medical check-ups, consultations, and awareness sessions on hygiene and preventive healthcare. These camps aim to reach underserved communities and promote the importance of maintaining good health.

Environmental Initiatives: We believe in the importance of environmental conservation. Our Leo Clubs engage in tree planting drives, clean-up campaigns, and awareness programs to promote sustainability and create a cleaner, greener environment.

Educational Support: Recognizing the power of education, our Leo Clubs organize workshops, tutoring sessions, and donation drives to support underprivileged students with educational materials, books, and other necessary resources.

Blood Donation Drives: With a focus on saving lives, our Leo Clubs conduct blood donation drives in collaboration with local blood banks and hospitals. These drives help ensure a steady supply of blood for medical emergencies.

Cancer Awareness Programs: Our Leo Clubs work to spread awareness about cancer prevention, early detection, and support for patients and their families. This includes organizing awareness talks, screenings, and fundraising initiatives for cancer-related causes.

Elderly Care Initiatives: To address the needs of the elderly in our community, our Leo Clubs organize visits to nursing homes, distribute essential supplies, and arrange recreational activities to bring joy to the lives of seniors.

Community Cleanliness Campaigns: Taking pride in our surroundings, our Leo Clubs initiate cleanliness campaigns to keep public spaces tidy. These efforts not only enhance the aesthetics of our community but also promote a sense of civic responsibility.

Skill Development Workshops: Our Leo Clubs organize workshops and training sessions to empower individuals with valuable skills that can improve their employability and overall quality of life.

Social Awareness Campaigns: To address social issues such as gender equality, mental health, and substance abuse, our Leo Clubs conduct awareness campaigns, workshops, and discussions to foster a more inclusive and compassionate society.

Disaster Relief Initiatives: During times of natural disasters or emergencies, our Leo Clubs are quick to respond with relief efforts such as providing food, shelter, and essential supplies to affected communities.
