Since the inception of self-financing institutions in the educational landscape of Kerala, there has been a proliferation of institutions offering professional education. The institutions operating under the banner of the Devaki Amma Memorial Trust have been established by the Founder, Late Shri. K. V. Sankaranarayanan, and all the institutions distinguished themselves through their unwavering commitment to quality and a student-centric approach. Our institutions have garnered a reputation for not only the excellence of our teaching staff but also the quality of our infrastructure. Our rigorous selection process for recruiting highly qualified and experienced faculty members, coupled with our steadfast adherence to standards in classroom and laboratory facilities, sets us apart from our peers.
Established in 1997, the Devaki Amma Memorial Trust ventured into the realm of education in 2001 with the launch of its Teacher Education College, which offered the B.Ed. course, duly approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Subsequently, the institution expanded to offer TTE B.Ed. and M.Ed. courses. In 2011, the Devaki Amma’s Guruvayurappan College of Architecture was established, initially offering the B.Arch. program and later introducing the M. Arch. Program.
The Devaki Amma Memorial College of Pharmacy was established in the year 2003 with the goal to provide state-of-art infrastructure, research facilities with eminent faculties to disseminate advanced knowledge in pharmacy education through innovative teaching-learning process with human and ethical values. We aim at helping youth to discover their potential, and especially to develop young students and who possess knowledge and confidence to keep pace with the rapidly changing world and increasing competition, without losing traces of our traditions, humanity, spirituality and purpose of existence. Our well-disciplined and professionally qualified team of teachers and educators help in imparting discrete value-based education to our young scholars. All our institutions are affiliated with their respective national regulatory bodies such as the National Council for Teacher Education, Pharmacy Council of India, Council of Architecture, and have secured the requisite approvals from the Government of Kerala, as well as affiliations with the respective universities. This remarkable achievement in a relatively short time frame underscores our steadfast commitment to the pursuit of quality education.
Our colleges are renowned for their state-of-the-art facilities, including well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, workshops, instrument rooms, and a computer lab. Our library boasts an extensive collection of books from both national and international authors and publishers, complemented by subscriptions to prestigious print and electronic journals. The management team is dedicated to revolutionizing the teaching of Pharmacy in our country. To this end, we have seamlessly integrated work-study programs, internships, camps, seminars, and other extracurricular activities into our academic curriculum, ensuring that learning is not merely an academic endeavor but also an enriching experience for our students.
Our Pharmacy College is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, while the D. Pharm. program is affiliated with the Directorate of Medical Education. The remaining programs are affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur.
